Therapist Short Bio

I know how hard it is to make the first contact when looking for a therapist and I promise to always treat you with respect and kindness. Many of my clients are new to therapy but have come to a point in their lives where it is helpful to speak to somebody beside friends and family. I'm a great listener and can help you explore changes you want to make, calmly and without judgement. Or to unpick why you are feeling down or unhappy. I have extra training to support neurodivergent clients too

Therapist Long Bio

I will put you at the heart of the session, we move at your pace and look at issues as you feel ready to explore them. I will not tell you what to do, you probably have people in your life already offering you their opinions but I will help you unravel how you are feeling and see what changes you'd like to make.

I am approachable, friendly and calm. I am trained to work with trauma too. I also have a certificate in working with Neurodivergent adults.

Modern life is hectic and it's easy to lose your way.  Finding meaning in a difficult world feels impossible.  Are you trying to work out where you fit in the world? If jobs, relationships and decisions are getting on top of you then it can really help to talk this over with someone who is non-judgemental, patient and kind.

I see clients of all ages (over 16) and believe everybody deserves a chance at happiness. Many of my clients are struggling with new identities maybe as life changes, whether it's menopause, empty nest, retirement, redundancy or ill health. Or perhaps you are questioning your gender or sexuality and want a safe place to consider these things.

Initially I offer a free, short telephone conversation so we can get to know each other with no pressure to continue if you decide I am not the right therapist for you.

Mostly I work face to face in my room in Leigh-on-Sea or Southchurch but I also offer online therapy and have a further qualification so that I can offer this safely. During the summer months I offer walk and talk therapy, some clients find the walking helps them to share their thoughts more easily.

I hope you contact me and start your journey towards feeling better.
