What is the registration process?
There are two stages to the registration process; firstly you will be asked to provide us with your name/practice name and all professional bodies you are a member of and/or all relevant qualifications you have. This information is then submitted to the Therapy Finders team who will run the required checks to verify the information you have provided. Once you sign up, you will be given full access to your private member portal where you will need to complete your profile. The more information you provide the better our matching service will be.
How soon after my profile is verified, will I have access to my personal Members Portal?
You will be given access to most areas of your private member portal as soon as you sign-up. However, you will not appear in any client search results until your qualifications have been verified. After successful verification your "Therapy Details" section will be switched on and you will need to complete your profile, the more information you provide the more search results you will appear in. We require up to 48 hours from receiving your registration request to verify your information and you will be notified by email when your account has been approved.
How can I update my profile?
You can update your profile at any time by logging in to your private member portal. Any changes you make will be updated in real time.
What is Emotional First Aid?
Emotional First Aid is an exciting new service that offers people instant support with an issue that they are experiencing in that moment. It is a single session designed to help tackle a problem or gain perspective immediately, at the end of the session the client will hopefully be able to cope with whatever was causing them anxiety and continue on with their day. If a client wants to continue into full time therapy with you, this is something that you can discuss between yourselves. Therapy Finders will not have any further involvement passed the Emotional First Aid session.
Emotional First Aid is not designed for people suffering from a long-term mental health issues or if the issue that is causing anxiety is deep rooted. In these cases, we would recommend sign-posting them through our matching service to find a specialist therapist who can support them through longer term therapy or arranging further sessions between the two of you.
How do I get paid if I complete an Emotional First Aid session?
If you become part of the Emotional First Aid team you will get paid for all of your completed sessions at the end of each week. You will be able to see a record of all of your sessions in your private member portal.

When will I have access to Emotional First Aid?
All members with a premium membership will have access to the Emotional First Aid service in their account. There is a training video in the Emotional First Aid FAQ's which can be found in the EFA section in your account when you login.
How much do I get paid for an EFA session?
You will receive £35 of the £45 we charge the client for each 45 minute session. Payment will be made directly into your bank at the end of each week.
How are therapists selected for the Emotional First Aid sessions?
The Emotional First Aid service is fully automated. When you log on to the service you will be asked to select how many hours you are available for, you will then be given access to a "waiting room" where you can select clients on a first come-first serve basis. Each person who buys a session will be put in the "waiting room" and you can see as many clients as you wish until the "waiting room" is empty.
Due to the service being aimed at issues people are experiencing in the here-and-now i.e. anxiety and not long-term issues all qualified therapists should be able to run any session. If a client brings an issue that cannot be covered in one session you should make them aware of the limitations of the service, support them for the session and suggest they consider longer term therapy if necessary.
