Therapist Long Bio

Most of us at some point in our lives experience difficulties and problems that affect how we feel and our ability to function day by day.During these times it may be hard to speak to family and friends about these worries and so there is a need to speak with someone who will listen and understand and accept you as you  are.

I provide client led counselling which means your thoughts, feelings and needs are at the centre of our sessions which are tailor made and as unique as you are. Each one of us is an individual therefore I like to look at what is happening for you then we can discuss together what the best way forward is for you.

Covid 19  created challenges for us all,  huge anxieties in the midst of great uncertainty. For example, through loss of a loved one where it was impossible to say goodbye or the anxieties over self isolation and social distancing. Now that we seem to be at the other side we are seeing the ripple effect of Covid, remote only working is becoming  hybrid working in a lot of cases, creating fear and anxiety about returning to the office and mixing with others again, those who enjoyed working from home in PJs!

Counselling provides a safe, confidential and non judgemental environment to talk about your life and things that may be worrying, confusing, painful or uncomfortable to live with.  It allows you to talk with an experienced professional who is trained to listen attentively and help you improve things and move forward.

The number of sessions required is different for everyone and will depend on the nature of the issues and what you are wanting to achieve with counselling.
